Kirtan & Saree Draping
India Yoga School regularly organizes cultural activities to help students understand and respect Indian traditions.
We conduct Kirtan every Monday, where the whole community comes together to sing devotional songs. This activity helps create a calm and positive environment in the school.
On the first Monday of every month, we organize a Saree Draping activity. During this session, the participants learn how to wear a saree and understand its cultural importance in Indian tradition.
Asana
Hatha is a practice of long holding, mindful poses that help you build strength, release tension, and cultivate a quiet mind. It’s your chance to slow down and be in the moment.
A strong energizing and empowering flow that brings stability to mind cultivating self-awareness and inner transformation for holistic well-being.
Aerial yoga uses gravity and a hammock to build full-body strength and flexibility. The hammock’s support makes deep backbends and inversions feel safe and easy.
Aqua yoga uses the resistance of the pool to build strength while being incredibly gentle. The water supports your body, making poses feel easy and gentle on your joints.
Acro yoga is a fun, partner-based practice that builds communication and strength. It’s a playful way to connect with others and build trust together.
Yin yoga uses long and gentle holds to stretch your deep tissues, giving you a quiet mental space. Its slow and meditative flow helps you release deep tension.
Pranayama
Pranayama uses ancient breathing techniques to reduce stress and find inner peace. This practice teaches you to use your breath to find stillness and focus in a busy world.
Theory
Our theory sessions are structured to make you understand yoga both on and off the mat. We’ll learn the history and wisdom of Yoga Philosophy, the power of Mantras, cover practical Teaching Methodology, and provide an introduction to the Yoga Business.
You will learn key principles of Anatomy, understanding how the body moves, helping you to practice with deeper understanding, awareness, and safety. You will also be introduced to the ancient system of Ayurveda, learning how to create harmony in your life through diet and lifestyle.
Teaching Methodology
Our teaching methodology focuses on clear understanding, active participation, and overall preparation of students. Teachers use simple explanations, real-life examples, and interactive activities to make learning interesting and effective.
We encourage questions, discussions, and practical learning so that students gain confidence and develop critical thinking skills.
Meditation & Excursion
The evening is a time for guided meditation and activity, like going to the beach for the sunset meditation. The session includes a guided beach meditation followed by an excursion to a local point of interest.
